Paul Davis provides continuing education to insurance and other professionals. The property damage restoration industry is complex and ever-changing. It is important to stay current with this industry’s knowledge and trends. The Paul Davis CE program exceeds expectations and standards. Approved instructors are dynamic, enthusiastic, and passionate about course topics. The program has been designed to provide insurance agents and adjusters with up-to-date and relevant information. All continuing education classes are approved for credit according to state rules and guidelines.

#77068 Ethics: Decision Making Tools for Insurance Professionals – 3 credits – This is a three hour CE class that defines ethics and ethical behavior, compared to legal or moral behavior. Participants will engage in multiple opportunities to to discuss ethical and non-ethical behavior. Ethical theories will be introduced, as well as examples of decision-making tools.
#76464 -The Role of Technology in the Claims Process – 1 credit – This is a one hour class that examines the insurance claim process and the impact of technology on the industry and on customer service. Participants will review current trends and challenges using technology effectively and in the most efficient manner.
#74275 Going Green! – 2 credits – This new two hour class will help both agents and adjusters understand the definition & challenges of “green”, the complexities of coverage issues surrounding “Green” upgrade policies, information on LEED, discussions and best practices for moving forward fairly and in environmental good conscious.
#74927 Packout Inventory Systems – 1 credit – Pack out system showcases your interest in the insured to help them get back on their feet – fast. It also improves the overall claims experience, helps the property-owner get their lives back to normal more quickly by reducing the life of the file, dramatically reduces their aggravation with the contents inventorying process, records all contents with bar codes and photos to enhance professionalism, and quickly locates specific items for the property-owner in our warehouse.
#76461 – Before the Disaster – 3 credits – Review the phases of disaster management, emergency action plans, how to devise an emergency action plan and guidelines for a successful plan. Each phase is discussed and group interaction is included. Also reviews a personal emergency plan, as well as professional plan for in the office.
#78875 – Hoarding & Insurance Claims – 2 credits – Attendees gain an understanding of hoarding and its role in insurance claims. Topics will include the definitions of hoarding, the risks of hoarding and the various levels. Discussion on coverage concerns and policy considerations are included. Finally, the course will cover the types of losses that may occur and the issues a contractor may face.
#74274 -Fire! – 1 credit – This one hour class gives a basic overview of fire damage restoration processes. Attendees will understand the issues relating to fire and smoke losses, technical issues of the restoration process and procedural expectations of restoration contractors. The discussion will include a review of the anatomy of fire and smoke, as well as, cleaning procedures and equipment overview.
#78871 – Claims Policy & Practices – 3 credits – This class begins with discussion of pre-claim activities such as coverage issues, dissemination of information, risk inspections, policy audit and reserves. Common policy language is covered and definitions discussed along with responsibilities being assigned. Claims jargon such as RCV, ACV, ITV and more is clarified and methodology for discovery is covered. Obligation, roles and documentation are covered for both the insurance representative and the policy holder
